Awareness Seminar on Misinformation and Fake News

An awareness seminar on "Misinformation and Fake News" was jointly organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and the Directorate of Media and Publications, UET Peshawar to explore the ways misinformation and fake news spread across digital platforms, including social media, news outlets, and other online channels, and to discuss methods to combat this growing issue. Engr. Muhammad Ali Khan, UET Alumnus and Deputy Director Cyber Crime Cell, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar was the guest speaker.
HEC Webinar on Skills Monetization in Freelancing

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan organized an online session on freelancing for DLSEI 3.0 learners who aspire to monetize their skills in the freelancing field. The Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) participated in the session. The theme of the open house webinar session was “How to start your freelancing career on Fiverr”.
HED KP Joint Meeting with KP Universities and HEC Islamabad

Quality Assurance Cell, Higher Education Department, KP organized the 2nd Joint Meeting with all KP Universities lead by Vice Chancellors along with Senior Management of Universities, HEC Islamabad at Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar. Meeting was chaired by Minister Higher Education KP, Meena Khan Afridi and also attended by Registrars, Directors Finance, Controllers of Examination, Directors of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), and Directors of ORIC of universities. The Meeting focused on good governance as well as academic and financial management. The Director QEC, along with Registrar, Advisor Finance, Treasurer, Director ORIC, and Controller of Examination attended from UET Peshawar. The Advisor Finance UET Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Misbah Ullah gave a presentation on Financial Sustainability plans of UET Peshawar.
Farewell to Former Dean and Staff of the University

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) bid farewell to former Dean Faculty of Architecture, Allied Sciences, and Humanities (AASH) Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali and also paid him rich tribute for his exceptional services for the University on the eve of his retirement. Mr. Sajid Gul of the Establishment section was also admired for his commitment throughout his career and for his remarkable services to the University.
Workshop on Quality of Education at UET Peshawar

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), UET Peshawar organized a one-day workshop on February 7, 2025, on Implementation of Policies, Guidelines, and Procedures for Quality Education at UET Peshawar. The workshop was designed for the faculty and staff of UET Peshawar. The workshop focused on Outcome Based Education, Graduate Education Policy 2023, and Pathways from Research to Innovation.
Farewell to Former University Faculty and Staff

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) bid farewell to former faculty member and Director Admissions Prof. Dr. Rashid Nawaz and also admired him for his outstanding work ethics and commitment throughout his career. Tributes were also paid to outgoing employees Mr. Fazli Wadood and Mr. Mir Akbar for their dedicated services to the University.
HEC Session on Graduate Education Policy

The Director QEC attended a session on the Graduate Education Policy 2023 online. The event was organized by HEC to highlight the salient features of the said policy. It was reiterated that the policy encompasses minimum standards and guidelines to impart Level 7 and 8 qualifications, with a special emphasis on governance of the doctoral research system in HEIs and quality assurance.
QEC Staff Social Event

The staff of QEC participated in a social event on 13 Sept. 2024 at the Karkhano Market, Khyber District. The event was organized to enhance the synergy of QEC staff members and to share points of view on various aspects of the quality standards and processes of UET Peshawar. The staff members emphasized the need to hold such activities in the future for stronger teamwork and bond development.
HEC 2-Day Workshop on RIPE
12-13 Sept. 2024
QAA-HEC held a two-day workshop for selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 12-13 Sept. 2024 at Khyber Medical University Peshawar. The workshop focused on the effective implementation of the RIPE (Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement) and PSG-2023 frameworks, with a particular emphasis on preparing the Institutional Performance Enhancement Report (IPER) and managing quantitative data submissions. The Director QEC received a participation certificate as well.
